DESCRIPTION

Under the supervision of the Clinic Manager is responsible for coordinating patient scheduling, provider scheduling, insurance, phone calls, Epic In-Basket, collecting payments from patients, assuring referrals have all needed documents. Will be responsible for coordination of the Hillcrest OB Hospitalists Clinic, including scheduling patients, checking insurance, templates for providers, assuring referrals have all the necessary records, collecting payment from patients, able to multi-task, answer phone calls, and Epic in-basket, manage sub-specialty clinics.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Three (3) years of relevant office / clinic experience.
  • Previous directly related Call Center and Front Desk experience in a large complex healthcare setting.
  • Trained on EPIC or other comparable EMR system.
  • Knowledge of third-party payors including federal, state and private health plans.
  • Experience with patient check-in and cash handling.
  • Experience updating Registration.
  • Possess demonstrates problem solving ability by using good judgment and applying these skills to assist customers and ensure customers' expectations are met.
  • Possess demonstrated computer skills and be able to work between multiple systems during calls.
  • Possess excellent customer service skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Business school or college coursework.
  • Previous front office experience in a Women's Health clinic and / or ambulatory care clinic.
  • Bilingual; English / Spanish.
  • SPECIAL CONDITIONS

  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

    Annual Full Pay Range : $54,664 - $67,944 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

    Hourly Equivalent : $26.18 - $32.54

    Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position.
