Overview :
An AM 100 Law Firm is seeking a Junior Associate with at least 2 years of experience in employment law to join our dynamic Employment Group. With offices across California, Washington D.C., New York, and Seattle, we are a leading technology and life sciences law firm known for our cutting-edge litigation practice.
This position is ideal for candidates who have a strong background in employment law, particularly in advising early to mid-stage start-up companies. You will have the opportunity to engage in both litigation and counseling on a wide variety of employment law issues.
Key Responsibilities :
- Advise employers on employment law matters, including wage / hour issues, terminations, reductions in force, leaves of absence, workplace investigations, and worker classification assessments.
- Prepare and review employment agreements and policies, including offer letters, handbooks, compensation plans, and separation agreements.
- Represent clients in employment law litigation, including single plaintiff and complex cases.
- Counsel employers on compliance with California state and local employment laws and best practices.
