At our Rockford location, we are looking to hire cross-trained servers/bartenders who can work between both positions. Weekend availability is a must!

Faro Uccello, Founder of UHG, opened the first Uccello’s Ristorante in 1996. Since then, Uccello's has grown into 6 successful locations and has become a staple in the West Michigan community. We didn't want to stop there... In 2016, we launched our fast-casual concept, Herb & Fire Pizzeria, and have since opened a second location.

Summary of Position:

Provide timely, accurate and friendly service while serving the highest quality food and beverages for our guests in accordance with company recipes and guidelines. You will also maintain a very clean, sanitary, and safe work area in a fast paced environment, while providing superior guest service.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Greet guests in a timely and professional manner
• Personally recognize and learn the names of our regulars.
• Follow Uccello’s steps of service for all dining guests.
• Verify guests that purchase alcohol are at least 21 years of age.
• Consistently use suggestive selling techniques.
• Present food and drink menus, possess full knowledge of bar and menu items and be able to make recommendations and answer questions regarding all aspects of the menus.
• Accurately take food and beverage orders from guests in a timely manner at the bar and dining room areas.
• Deliver food and beverage orders within established time frames.
• Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with Uccello’s standard drink recipes.
• Accept guest payment, process credit card charges and make change (if applicable).
• Maintain the company’s high standards for cleanliness and sanitation in all Front of House areas of the restaurant.
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the management team.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a full-service restaurant
• Ability to stand on feet for an extended period of time
• Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent guest service skills with strong ability to interact with guests
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Possess basic math skills and have the ability to accurately handle money and operate a POS system.
• Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.
