Job Summary And Qualifications
Ensure patient and visitor comfort and satisfaction by providing general assistance, information, additional services and amenities, as well as a convenience service, thereby streamlining the hospital experience for patients by managing their non-clinical needs.
What you should expect to do in this role:
- Provides service at the main information desk directing patients and families to Admitting and other areas as appropriate.
- Delivers patient belongings, flowers, mail, etc. in a timely fashion
- Locates, delivers and sanitizes wheelchairs as needed
- Assists patients and families with their non-clinical needs including, but not limited to, making hotel and restaurant reservations, purchasing items from the NF gift shop, arranging transportation, stamp purchases, pet care, clerical services, etc.
- Conduct daily rounds to introduce themselves to patients providing them with contact information for the Concierge desk should they need assistance.
- Knowledgeable of the local area to answer questions, provide directions, etc.
- Communicates questions and concerns to the appropriate area or person such as Patient Safety, leadership on patient care units, etc.
- Assists patients with obtaining their Medical Records including picking up their imaging disk from Radiology.
- Provides transportation for visitor or patient on the Guest Services golf cart if necessary.
- Assist patient care units in patient celebrations such as birthdays, anniversaries, etc.
- Assumes other related functions as may be assigned.
