Job Summary and Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY: Under supervision of OR staff, assist in surgery department operations through supplying, stocking, cleaning, assembling, and storing of equipment and supplies while maintaining a clean environment. Transports patients, equipment and supplies as needed. May be called upon to help with the LDRP department in case of emergency staffing needs. OR staff may be called upon to help with perioperative services to help fill emergency staffing needs.

Essential Functions:

• Assists RN/Charge RN/LPN with direct patient care, as requested, i.e., moving, aligning, and positioning patient according to established policy, ensuring patient safety and comfort at all times. Assists with patient prep under the supervision of the LPN, RN/Charge RN, as requested.
• Provides intra-hospital patient transportation to the OR/Holding Area, safely and according to policy and procedure.
• Contributes to a culture of patient centered care by ensuring a quiet healing environment.

What qualifications you will need:

• High School Graduate / GED
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) required
• Some experience, specifically in the OR, preferred
