FTE : Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Shift : Days
Pay : $20.26 - $26.34 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
Summary :
Coordinates all aspects of surgery scheduling.
Responsibilities :
- Schedules inpatient and outpatient surgical appointment times using computerized scheduling programs.
- Coordinates with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure availability of facilities, surgeon, staff and equipment.
- Communicates with patients and / or their families to provide necessary pre-procedure instructions and to confirm appointments.
- Performs insurance verification and / or pre-authorizations as necessary.
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
