What are the responsibilities and job description for the Metcalf - HEP - Raut, Siddhi - 2.6.25 position at UChicago Argonne, LLC?
The future flagship experiment Mu2e at Fermilab is in its construction phase and the Argonne High Energy Physics division is involved in several aspects of the design and detector construction. One of the elements being designed and tested at Argonne together with Northwestern University and Fermilab is the field mapping system (FMS) for the large detector solenoid. We are currently finalizing the design and performing extensive tests in our High Bay area to demonstrate and verify the full functionality of the FMS. This project will include the hardware testing as well as improving the control software and analyzing data from our test runs.
Education and Experience Requirements
• Must be currently enrolled full-time at an accredited institution.
• Must be 18 years or older at the time the appointment begins.
