Position description

The University of California, Irvine Counseling Center is accepting applications for one Postdoctoral Fellow position, with a focus on outreach activities and suicide prevention & programing. The individual in this position will receive clinical supervision necessary to accrue post- doctoral hours required for CA psychology licensure.

In this position the Postdoctoral Fellow will provide and / or participate in the following services with an emphasis on multicultural counseling and issues of social justice :

• Individual, relationship and group psychotherapy
• Crisis intervention services and technological interventions.
• Case management.
• Conduct intake assessments.
• Develop and / or participate in a special project within outreach activities.
• Provide campus-based consultation and outreach.
• Design and deliver workshops to college students
• Provide culturally relevant psychological services to a diverse student population.
• Provide training for psychology doctoral interns
• Some evening hours are required to conduct outreach activities.

Applicants must have completed 1) an APA accredited or APPIC internship and 2) APA accredited doctoral program in counseling or clinical psychology by the start date.

Salary is $74,, including full benefits. A Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from an APA accredited academic program and an APA accredited internship program must be completed prior to the date of hire.
