Key Responsibilities
- Educate healthcare providers on infection prevention practices and consult with leadership and hospital staff regarding infection prevention issues
- Communicate and implement effective evidence-based infection prevention practices throughout the hospital
- Collaborate with physicians, department directors, and clinical staff to support infection prevention improvement projects
- Analyze and report healthcare-associated infections while driving performance improvement and patient safety
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a health-related field or equivalent combination of experience/training
- Certification in Infection Control & Epidemiology (CIC) is required
- Three or more years of experience in a clinic/hospital setting
- In-depth knowledge of clinical and operational issues in infection control
- Strong organizational, prioritizing, and time-management skills
