Salary & Compensation

Qualifications
- Demonstrated working knowledge of payroll policies and procedures. Knowledge of timekeeping and reporting principles (Preferred)
- Working knowledge of employee relations principles, recruitment, and employment processes. (Required)
- Working knowledge of the University's Payroll Time Reporting system. (Preferred)
- Ability to maintain sensitive information confidential. (Required)
- Ability to prioritize and organize workflow to meet deadlines. (Required)
- Ability to manage varying competing tasks appropriately. (Required)
- Skill in math functions including the calculation of percentages. (Required)
- Skill in speaking and reading English to be able to communicate effectively with many different constituencies. (Required)
- Ability to write memos and correspondence using grammatically correct English. (Required)
- Ability to establish and maintain a cooperative working relationship with administrators and staff. (Required)
- Working knowledge of Youth Specific Policy and training requirements. (Preferred)
Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations
- Bachelor's Degree In a related field and/or equivalent experience/training. (Required)
- Red Cross CPR Certification Upon Hire (Required)
- Standard First Aid Training Certification Upon Hire (Required)
Special Conditions for Employment
- Background Check: Continued employment is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory background investigation.
- Live Scan Background Check: A Live Scan background check must be completed prior to the start of employment.
- Age Requirement: Candidate(s) must be 18 years or older to be eligible to be hired.
- Driving Record: The position is subject to the California DMV "Pull Notice System" and continued employment is contingent upon proof of a satisfactory driving record.
- CANRA: The position is designated as a mandatory reporter under CANRA. The employee must sign the "Statement Acknowledging Requirement to Report Child Abuse".
- Must be available to work varying schedules, including evenings, weekends and Holidays based on departmental needs (Required)
