Description The ANI Pediatric Liaison Nurse / Pediatric Emergency Care Coordinator is responsible for assisting with clinical management and administrative coordination of the nursing unit. The position is a combination of clinical (direct care) and administrative responsibilities.Pediatric Liaison Nurse / Pediatric Emergency Care Coordinator Responsibilities : Liaison with pediatric, hospital and prehospital personnel both in house and with outside organizations.Maintenance of communication loop between the organization and outside pediatric groups.Maintain familiarity with latest EDAP standards and lead department to meet and maintain these standards.Participation in EDAP survey application process and EDAP site survey visits.Participate in development and promotion of pediatric emergency education for the emergency department staff.Participate in development and delivery of pediatric specific orientation for new staff.Participate in the development and maintenance of pediatric quality improvement programs.Maintenance of pediatric specific certifications and EDAP required education as outlined in Los Angeles County standards.Maintains competency in pediatric emergency care.Promoting pediatric disaster preparedness for the ED and participating in hospital disaster-preparedness activities.Promoting patient and family education in illness and injury prevention.Working with clinical leadership to ensure the availability of pediatric equipment, medications, staffing, and other resources through the development and periodic review of ED standards, policies, and procedures.Participation in pediatric committees both in house and in the community including meetings of Pediatric Liaison Nurses of Los Angeles County.Assumption : Meets CN III JD / PESalary : $67.06 - $97.43 HourlyQualifications A current, valid California RN Nursing Licensure REQUIREDBLS through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, PALS, and ACLS REQUIREDGraduation from a registered BSN or MSN program must be verified upon hire.REQUIRED : Meets CN III JD / PELeading Abilities : Behaviors, actions, and language reflect conscious commitment to supporting unit, department, and hospital vision.
