JOB DESCRIPTION: Each UCPSA client has a program manager who coordinates their services. The case aide assists program managers in their duties and provides direct care services to clients as well. It is a full-time position.
Duties to include:
1. Working Mon-Fri 8a-5p. Please note the position will occasionally require the aide to work a slightly different schedule to accommodate client needs. This may include working direct care shifts, some evenings/ weekends.
2. Assisting program managers with scheduling of services for direct care staff.
3. Assisting program managers with orienting and training direct care staff with clients.
4. Assisting program managers with filing of client documents
5. Assisting program managers with running errands on behalf of clients (e.g. grocery shopping, picking up prescriptions, collecting paperwork, etc.)
6. Assisting clients with medical appointments.
7. Attend weekly department meetings
8. Other miscellaneous administrative and direct care tasks
Qualifications:
1. 18 years of age or older
2. Ability to obtain a current CPR/FA certification
3. Ability to obtain fingerprint clearance
4. Ability to clear a DES background check
5. Ability to obtain a current T.B. clearance card
6. The ability to work in a team environment
7. The ability to handle difficult situations with clients/families
8. The ability to work a flexible schedule
9. The ability to learn and operate UCPSA program software
10. The ability to work independently
11. The ability to lift and transfer clients
12. Own/have regular access to and be able to operate a motor vehicle for the purpose of visiting and transporting clients, attending meetings outside of the office, etc. Proof of current registration and insurance of the vehicle must be kept on file with UCPSA
13. At least one year of direct care experience, personally or professionally
