PRIMARY FUNCTION : Maintains / coordinates all activities and process related to recruitment, hiring and separation of Agency staff, ensures appropriate record keeping, data collection, credential / background verification, manages referrals, orientation and incentive programs.
WORK SCHEDULE : Primarily, regular Monday through Friday business / program hours.
Extended day or weekend hours as assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS :
EDUCATION : Minimum High School degree / GED with appropriate training in clerical and computer skills, minimum 65 wpm proficiency.
EXPERIENCE : Minimum of two years of clerical and technical human resources
Valid Illinois Driver's License
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Conducts the process of screening and interviewing of applicants for all open positions.
Coordinates / schedules appointments for all applications / interviews.
Completes Agency training requirements and secures additional education and training appropriate to keep abreast of new methods in the field of personnel records and office management and the requisite skills to perform job duties effectively.
Responds to routine inquiries from department or employees regarding provisions and interpretations of personnel programs. Policies and
Compiles statistics for reporting number of applicants on a monthly basis.
Maintains the Human Resources filing system. Routes information about staff when necessary. Maintains the confidentiality of designated information.
Completes / types assigned correspondence report and proposals in accordance with work flow priority and time constraints.
Ensures the coordination of telephone communication; answers telephone, takes messages, relays information and ensures smooth Agency communication; greets listens and responds to applicants and employees seeking information.
Participate to ensure the safety of persons served and Agency staff by :
Participating in evacuation and emergency drills and following all Agency safety directives.
Reporting all known safety hazards and risk to the Safety Committee and making Safety risks and problems.
OTHER DUTIES :
May participate in special projects within work unit or in other Agency department.
