Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Respiratory Care Director, the Clinical Coordinator is a licensed professional responsible for facilitating patient care activities and respiratory care services. These services must meet all JCAHO standards. The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for setting, implementing and monitoring appropriate standards for patient care and assure that the department remains in a state of readiness for unscheduled JCAHO surveys. The Clinical Coordinator is also responsible for evaluation of therapeutic modalities that provide safe, appropriate, progressive and cost-effective care. The Clinical Coordinator facilitates communication, consultation and interdisciplinary staff development in all areas of care including PICU, NICU, Acute Care, Transport, Emergency and Trauma and Blood Gas Point of Care.
Position Requirements:
Education: Bachelors required, Masters preferred
Experience: Three to five years experience in acute care pediatric facility.
Required Licensure: California Respiratory Care Practitioner - RCP license, Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner - RRT, Current BLS and NRP certification
Physical Requirements:
Sit up to 8 hours/day
Stand/Walk: 3-6 hours
Bend/Stoop: Up to 3 hours
Reach: Up to 3 hours
Rep Use of UE/Grasp: Up to 8 hours
Lift/Push/Pull: 15 lbs
