Job Summary: The Systems Analyst works with user departments to determine application needs, recommends viable alternatives and provides systems design and programming instructions. Analyzes applications to determine accuracy and efficiency. Assumes project leadership responsibility during the implementation of applications and/or updates. This individual will have direct responsibility for one or more Clinical and/or Administrative MEDITECH applications. Position Requirements: Education: Has a minimum of four years of college or equivalent. Bachelors degree preferable. Experience: Has at least four years working experience as a programmer/analyst or analyst designing, developing and/or testing computer based financial software applications. Experience with Hospital financial and administrative systems preferred. Experience with IBM compatible PC#s preferred. Knowledge, Skills # Abilities: Knowledge of one or more computer programming languages required. Experience with DOS, Windows, Windows NT, Microsoft Office Suite, FoxPro, Access, C , Visual Basic and SQL highly desirable.# Must be able to develop detailed work plans and insure the successful implementation of systems/updates. Must stay current in latest generation of hardware, software. And peripheral equipment. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with end users and/or vendors. Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient and hospital related data. Requires minimal supervision. Physical Requirements: Sit: Up to 8 hours/day Stand/Walk: Up to 6 hours Bend/Stoop: Up to 6 hours Reach: Up to 6 hours Rep Use of UE/Grasp: Up to 8 hrs Lift/Push/Pull: 25 lbs, over 25# with assistance or equipment This job requires the ability to hear alarms clients and/or instruction.
