Job Title: Turnover Coordinator – Construction to Commissioning (Oil & Gas Facility)
Location: North Slope, AK
Schedule: Rotational (i.e 3x2)
Reports to: Completions Manager
Salary Range: $65 - $70 Hourly (DOE)

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Turnover Coordinator to manage the turnover process from construction to commissioning for an oil and gas facility on the North Slope of Alaska. This role will ensure that all systems, equipment, and documentation are completed and verified for a smooth transition from construction to commissioning, ensuring the facility is ready for testing and operational readiness. The ideal candidate will have experience in turnover management, project coordination, and familiarity with the construction and commissioning processes within the oil and gas industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Turnover Planning and Coordination:
- Implement the turnover plan for systems and equipment, ensuring a smooth transition from the construction phase to the commissioning phase.
- Collaborate with construction and commissioning teams to ensure that all systems are completed and ready for commissioning.
- Manage and track turnover schedules, ensuring timely completion of all required construction-to-commissioning handover activities.
- Document Control and Management:
- Coordinate the collection, review, and organization of all turnover documentation, including construction completion reports, system verification checklists, as-built drawings, equipment manuals, and certificates.
- Ensure that all construction-related documents are up-to-date, complete, and ready for review by the commissioning team.
- Maintain and track turnover documentation using appropriate project management tools, ensuring easy access and accuracy.
· System and Equipment Handover:
- Collaborate with construction teams to ensure that systems and equipment are fully built, tested, and verified before being handed over to commissioning.
- Ensure that all construction punch list items are resolved prior to turnover and that systems meet all commissioning readiness requirements.
- Work with commissioning teams to ensure that all systems are fully ready for commissioning, including proper labeling, documentation, and verification.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Act as the key point of contact for turnover-related activities between construction and commissioning teams, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
- Assist in organizing turnover meetings and milestone reviews, ensuring that all parties are aligned on expectations, schedules, and responsibilities.
- Provide regular updates on turnover progress to the project management team, highlighting any challenges or delays.
- Issue Resolution:
- Track and manage any issues or discrepancies identified during the turnover process, working with relevant teams to resolve them efficiently and effectively.
- Ensure any construction-related issues or incomplete items are addressed before systems are handed over for commissioning.
- Readiness for Commissioning:
- Confirm that all construction activities and systems are verified and meet the requirements for commissioning activities.
- Facilitate a smooth handover from construction to commissioning teams, ensuring all necessary documentation, certificates, and approvals are provided.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in turnover coordination, project coordination, or similar roles within the oil and gas industry.
- Experience with the turnover process from construction to commissioning for large-scale oil and gas facilities.
- Experience working in remote environments, such as the North Slope of Alaska, is preferred.
- Working knowledge of completions management systems (CMS) is required.
- Working knowledge of Omega PIMS is preferred.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant certifications in project management, construction, or turnover management are a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of turnover processes from construction to commissioning, including knowledge of documentation and system handover requirements.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and ensure deadlines are met.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy and completeness of turnover documentation.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to coordinate and work with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management software, document control systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
