Uderm, PLLC is a growing leader in Dermatology and Mohs surgery. Uderm Medical Assistants provide prompt and efficient care to patients for general dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, and assist with in-office Mohs surgery patients. This position will have a heavy emphasis with surgical assisting. We offer competitive salary, full benefits package, Paid Time Off, and opportunities for professional growth. Must be able to work at the Hixson or Ooltewah locations. Currently 2 days per week are at the Hixson location an 2 days per week at Ooltewah. Current Resume required.

Job Summary:
The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting physicians and/or physician assistants. This includes patient care, surgical assisting, phlebotomy, and administrative functions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Renders exceptional care to all patients and organizes the flow of patients seen by the provider.
- Documents in the electronic chart all complaints/problems expressed by the patient at visits
- Ensures that all supplies/instruments/equipment needed are sterilized and clean, in proper working order, and are available to the provider
- assists the Provider in surgery and procedures
- Cleans and stocks exam rooms
- Obtains patient consents for procedures & surgeries
- Takes incoming calls from patients and answers questions within their scope of training and knowledge.
- Schedules referrals at the request of the provider
- Communicates with pharmacies regarding prescriptions or prior authorization issues
- Notifies patients of pathology or laboratory results
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
