What are the responsibilities and job description for the Banked Apprentice Lineman position at UEC Ameren Missouri?

If end date is listed, the posting will come down at 12:00 am on that date: Saturday July 01, 2023 DUTIES: Under immediate supervision, working in a line construction or maintenance crew in the capacity of a learner in training for advancement to skilled lineman duty, to receive instructions and perform work involving such practice in preparation for such skilled duty, to perform such work on un-energized circuits, at first under the immediate supervision of a journeymen, and later independently as part of a crew after ability to perform each phase of the work skillfully and safely has been demonstrated; and to do similar and less skilled work as assigned. In this connection to perform details of work, such as but not limited to: Make up or assemble line materials, hardware, pole fixtures and guys and assist as directed on unenergized services, secondaries, and conductors. Send tools and materials to journeymen on poles Perform work such as; load and unload ladders, lines, blocks, digging holes assist in setting anchors and poles, straightening poles, assist in carry poles, transformers and materials to points inaccessible to a truck and load brush. Assist in pulling in and pulling out wire. Perform any de-energized ground work normally performed by an Apprentice Lineman. SPECIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: For proper care and use of tools used in the performance of work. For cooperating with others in the work group. For performing work in a safe manner as not to endanger himself, the public or men assigned to work with, or to instruct him in his work. WORKING CONDITIONS: Exposed to outside weather exposure conditions; infrequently, called upon to work at night, under inadequate artificial light and at times in rain, sleet or snow; subject to storm work in emergencies during any period of the 24 hour cycle; subject to cramped or crowded positions and at times slippery or uneven footing. HAZARDS: Subject to the hazards of street and highway traffic, about the work location and to the hazard of falling objects. QUALIFICATIONS: Must have successfully passed the EEI Construction and Skilled Trades (CAST) Test. Must have successfully passed the Apprentice Lineman Evaluation Modes. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
