Overview
Contributes to the strategic initiatives of Supply Chain Services by purchasing supplies, equipment, and services in a timely and cost effective manner. Researches, analyzes, and makes recommendations regarding cost reduction opportunities. Collaborates within Supply Chain Services to improve process efficiencies.
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements :
Associate's degree required. Five (5) years experience as a buyer or purchasing agent can substitute the degree requirement. Requires training in math, computer sciences, or business. Prefer 2 years experience in HealthCare Materials Management or Supply Chain Services; ability to analyze and summarize information for decision making purposes, independent use of personal computer applications. Position requires initiative and ability to work independently, demonstrating organizational skills and flexibility. Proven ability to problem-solve and intermediate skills with Microsoft Office is essential.
Motor Vehicle Operator Designation :
Employees in this position will operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a 'non-frequent driver'.
