Overview
Part-time 24 hours per week, benefits eligible.
The Volunteer Services Specialist serves as primary contact for all Auxiliary functions. In this role, the individual coordinates volunteer staff recruitment and processing, oversees Junior Volunteer program, assists in fundraising initiatives, and performs various departmental administrative duties.
Responsibilities
- Works as primary contact for all Auxiliary functions, under the direction of the Director of Community Programming and Partnerships.
- Collaborates and participates in the recruitment process with the Director. Collaborates with Hospital Human Resources, Infection Prevention to ensure all new reporting Auxiliary personnel undergo processing according to Flagler Hospital policy, to include ordering of uniforms for new volunteers. Ensure that both TB tests have been completed and filed. Maintain the volunteers' Leave of Absence spreadsheet and make sure that if they are out for medical reasons a medical release is received before they return.
- Oversees operations of the Flagler Hospital Junior Volunteer summer program.
Collaborates and serves as liaison to Flagler Health Care Foundation to bolster fundraising activities benefiting the Auxiliary and Hospital.
Oversees all clerical activities for the Flagler Hospital Auxiliary. In the absence of the Director, assumes the responsibility of "second in command" and responds any and all issues that may arise.

College Degree in related field or equivalent work.
