Our mission is to provide patients with personalized, real-time rehabilitation insights, enabling a faster and more effective recovery process. We develop software apps that interface with our wearable sensor, providing patients with tailored exercises and progress tracking. We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Signal Processing Engineer with a focus on accelerometers, gyroscopes, and IMU. 


Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Signal Processing Engineer to join an innovative team working on cutting-edge medical devices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in embedded systems, specifically with experience in accelerometers, gyroscopes, and signal processing. This role involves developing and optimizing algorithms for inertial sensors, applying advanced filtering techniques, and implementing machine learning strategies to enhance device performance.


Key Responsibilities:

Firmware Development:

• Develop and maintain firmware for embedded systems used in medical devices, focusing on accelerometers and gyroscopes.

• Write efficient, reliable, and maintainable C code for embedded boards to implement signal processing and machine learning algorithms.

Signal Processing:

• Process signals received from inertial sensors, applying advanced signal processing techniques.

• Implement and refine filtering techniques, such as Kalman Filters, to improve signal accuracy and reliability.

Machine Learning Implementation:

• Develop and apply machine learning strategies in the context of accelerometer and gyroscope data.

• Perform feature extraction, filtering, and supervised learning to enhance device functionality and performance.

Testing & Optimization:

• Conduct thorough testing of embedded software and hardware to ensure optimal performance.

• Debug, optimize, and improve existing code and algorithms to meet medical device standards and regulations.

Documentation:

• Document all work, including code, algorithms, and processes, to ensure compliance with industry standards and facilitate future development.


Required Qualifications:

Required Skills:

5 years of experience in the following:

• Proven experience working with accelerometers and gyroscopes in embedded systems.

• Extensive experience in signal processing for inertial sensors on embedded boards.

• Demonstrated experience with filtering techniques such as Kalman Filters.

• Experience in implementing machine learning strategies, including feature extraction, filtering, and supervised learning in the context of accelerometers and gyroscopes.

• Strong proficiency in C programming for embedded systems.

• Solid understanding of embedded system design and development.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work on complex systems.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality, reliable products.


Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the medical device industry.

• Familiarity with regulatory requirements for medical devices.

• Experience with other programming languages and tools commonly used in embedded systems.


Education

• Bachelor’s with 5 years experience in working directly with accelerometers, gyroscopes, and IMU; OR

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with research thesis or experience in accelerometers, gyroscopes, and IMU.


Salary : $55,000 - $100,000
