Join a forward-thinking team revolutionizing patient care through wearable sensor technology. We’re looking for a Signal Processing Engineer to help build software that connects with our wearable device—delivering personalized exercises and real-time progress tracking to patients.
As a key technical contributor, you’ll develop embedded firmware and algorithms for IMU (accelerometer and gyroscope) data, applying advanced filtering and machine learning strategies to create robust, high-performance solutions.
What You’ll DoFirmware Development
- Write efficient, maintainable C code for embedded medical devices
- Implement real-time signal processing and machine learning logic
Signal Processing
- Analyze and process inertial sensor data (accelerometers, gyroscopes)
- Apply advanced filtering methods (e.g., Kalman Filters) to enhance signal integrity
Machine Learning
- Apply supervised learning to extract actionable insights from sensor data
- Perform feature extraction and data classification based on movement patterns
Testing & Optimization
- Test and validate algorithms on physical hardware
- Optimize for accuracy, power efficiency, and compliance
Documentation
- Maintain clear, regulatory-compliant documentation of code and algorithms
Required:
- 5 years experience with embedded systems and IMU sensors
- Proven experience working with accelerometers and gyroscopes in embedded systems. - MUST HAVE
- Extensive experience in signal processing for inertial sensors on embedded boards.
- Proficiency in C for embedded development
- Strong background in signal processing and filtering techniques
- Experience with Kalman Filters and other sensor fusion algorithms
- Knowledge of ML strategies for sensor data (feature extraction, supervised learning)
- Solid debugging and problem-solving skills
- Lives within commuting distance of Cuyahoga Falls, OH - There is no relocation assistance available.
- Permanently authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred:
- Human motion technology solutions a must
- Background in the medical device industry a PLUS
- Familiarity with FDA/ISO medical compliance
- Exposure to additional embedded development tools/languages
- Bachelor’s degree 5 years of relevant experience, OR
- Master’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering with a focus on IMUs
