Job Summary
The Maintenance Director is responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations of the facility, ensuring that all systems and equipment are functioning efficiently and effectively. This role involves leading a team of maintenance staff, managing maintenance schedules, and implementing preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime. The Maintenance Director will also be instrumental in maintaining compliance with FMCSA safety regulations and standards.
Duties
- Lead the team to maintain and repair semi-trucks.
- Create and follow maintenance schedules.
- Fix mechanical issues and manage repairs.
- Ensure all trucks meet safety rules and regulations.
- Keep track of repair records and truck conditions.
- Train and oversee the maintenance staff.
- Work with other departments to keep trucks ready for work.
Skills
- Experience in truck maintenance management 3-5 years.
- Knowledge of diesel engines and truck repair.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with safety and compliance standards.
