Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse for our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care to patients recovering from heart surgeries and other cardiovascular procedures. This role requires a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Registered Nurse will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Unit NotesType of Specialty: CVICU within a mixed medical-surgical unit
# beds/rooms: 16
Average # or providers in the clinic/day : 1 cardiothoracic surgeon, 1 CTS PA
Average # of patients/day: 1 cardiac surgery patient, 12 additional general med-surg ICU patients
Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
Common diagnosis/Types of Patients: Mitral/aortic/tricuspid valve replacements, CABG, AAA repair
Experience or "Must have" skills: Recent & proficiency in immediate post-op cardiac surgery recovery. IABP, CRRT, ECMO preferred but not required
Manager/Supervisor: Sandra Garcia
EMR: Cerner
Shifts & Scheduling: 12 hour
Weekend Requirement: every other weekend F-S-Su

Floating Requirements: yes, first to float
Scrub Color/Dress Code: navy blue scrubs
