Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Pathology Transcriptionist to join our team on a 13-week contract in San Bernardino, CA. The ideal candidate will have experience in transcribing pathology reports accurately and efficiently while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately transcribe and edit pathology reports, medical dictations, and related documents.
- Ensure correct usage of medical terminology, grammar, and formatting.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Work closely with pathologists and laboratory staff to ensure timely documentation.
- Review and verify the accuracy of reports before submission.
- Utilize transcription software and electronic medical records (EMR) systems effectively.
- Adhere to institutional and industry standards for medical transcription.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Pathology Transcriptionist.
- Proficiency in medical terminology, specifically in pathology.
- Strong typing skills with a high degree of accuracy and speed.
- Familiarity with EMR systems and transcription software.
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality regulations.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
