The Director of Risk Management is responsible for reviewing incident reports and conducting investigations as necessary to ensure optimum staff, visitor and patient safety. The Director is directly or indirectly involved in the planning, directing, and organization of staff development activities and submission of reports to the Performance Improvement Committee, Medical Executive Committee and the Governing Body. Collaborates with Human Resources regarding New Hire Orientation. Responsible to operate within with departmental budget.

Qualifications
Education/Training:
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing and/or Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field, preferred.
- Minimum of two years experience in Psychiatric/Chemical Dependency environment.
- Familiarity with regulations and requirements of The Joint Commission, Title 22, and Medicare.
- Must have the ability to develop criteria based reports; possess excellent written and verbal skills; be assertive yet professional with interpersonal skills for internal and external relations; have great organizational and time management skills.
