We are currently hiring a Director of Medical Records! The Director of Medical Records is responsible for directing the activities of the Medical Records department in the management and maintenance of all patient medical records information, ensuring compliance with all state and federal laws, rules/regulations of licensing agencies and within Joint Commission standards for the quality of patient care.
The Director of Medical Records analyzes the quality of the medical records to ensure inclusion and completion of required information needed to facilitate reimbursement and assure continuity of patient care and provides expert consultative services to hospital staff regarding medical records. The Director of Medical Records functions in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Centennial Peaks Hospital.

Job Requirements
- The ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment is critical.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Health Information Management/medical preferred; AS/RHIT
- A minimum of five (5) years leadership experience in information management is required, with direct experience in a health care psychiatric facility preferred.
- Prefer knowledge of health information management and health care delivery systems, medical and psychiatric terminology, confidentiality and release of information laws, leadership skills and various computer and word processing programs.
Certification accreditation as a medical record professional, Registered Health Information Technologist (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), as determined by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).
- Current CPR or BLS certification or ability to learn, this training is provided during training period.
