The House Supervisor is a key member of the Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System nursing team. The House Supervisor is responsible for the overall functioning of the hospital during after hours and weekend operations. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and demonstrates competence in the human stages of growth and development.

Qualifications
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assigns appropriate numbers and mix of staff as guided by the staffing plan based on census and patient acuity.
- Responsible for direction and supervising staff in all clinical and administrative matters, ensuring that accreditation standards, practice standards, and policies and procedures are followed and maintained.
- Required to interact with other department staff or the administrator or call to handle urgent non-nursing issues that arise during after hours and weekend operations.
- Assists in patient nursing care to meet the spiritual, emotional, and physiological need of patients served.
- Involves the administration of medications and treatment in accordance with physician orders and established nursing policies and procedures.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
Requirements:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Graduate of an approved school of nursing. Current RN licensure or work permit in the state of Kentucky. This position requires medium skill level in Math and Language and a high level in reasoning.
Experience: No experience is required; however, psychiatric nursing is preferred. Must possess knowledge of developmental stages of children, adolescents, geriatrics, and adults, and the social, cultural, and environmental influences on both patient and family members.
Licensure/Certification:
CPR Certification
Current RN licensure or work permit in the state of Kentucky.
Knowledge:
Prefer knowledge of crisis intervention and risk assessment, psychiatric diagnoses, basic chemical dependency, age specific growth and development and crisis and behavior management.
