Qualifications
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS |
Ø Good telephone public relations and communication skills. Ø Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and non-verbally. Ø Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact diplomatically and to maintain a professional demeanor with physicians, the public and hospital staff at all times. Ø Maintains and respects confidentiality of patients and facility. Ø Able to work in an organized and independent manner. Ø Experience with Microsoft Word and electronic mail preferred. Ø Type 35-40 words per minute. Ø Knowledge of computer keyboard

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE |
Ø One year PBX receptionist experience, preferably in a hospital or medical setting.

Ø Ability to work with multiple telephone-lines and handle a heavy volume of calls per shift. Ø Ability to work with many interruptions. Ø Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where noise levels may fluctuate.
