The Performance ImprovementI/Risk Management Manager provides support to the Director of PI/Risk. The Analyst will lead data collection and auditing from various resources within the facility. The Quality Analyst will assist with identifying opportunities for improvement, determining solutions, writing a plan of correction, and collaborating with a team to implement this plan while ensuring compliance with regulations, accreditation standards, and policies.

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare field preferred. Associate’s degree in healthcare required.
Experience: Minimum two (2) years of experience in quality/PI in a health care setting.
Knowledge/Experience:
- Thorough knowledge of performance improvement/quality management concepts and techniques.
- Exceptional Microsoft Office skills required with the ability to master other database and software programs (Word, Excel, Publisher, Power Point, Access, etc.). Knowledge of statistical tools and displays
- Knowledge of Regulatory requirements of external review organizations (i.e. Joint Commission, Public Health, etc.)
- Ability to work with all levels of staff. Ability to develop and maintain a professional, customer service-related profile with outside liaisons.
- Project Management training a plus.
Essential Functions:
- Leads data collection/entry and timely reporting for HBIPS/IPFQR, B-Tags and other measures as directed by the Director of PI/Risk.
- Fosters a culture of safety.
- Assists Director of PI/Risk Management with monitoring and compliance with State, CMS and Joint Commission standards and policies.
- Performs timely and accurate review of MIDAS incident report data entry. Ensures data entry is complete/accurate by performing quality checking of all risk entries. Generates related reports by specified deadlines
- Assists with annual review/revision of the Hospital Performance Improvement Program.
- Serves as a member, assists in coordinating reports and taking minutes for the Performance Improvement Committee and Patient Safety Council.
- Aggregates/Analyzes data to determine trends, patterns and root causes related to quality measures.
- Maintain a performance improvement record for all contract service providers. Maintain existing list of all contracts (FMV, Insurance, exclusionary, etc.) Coordinate with CEO and Directors to negotiate scope of work. Engage corporate process three months before expiration for all recertifications. Liaison between vendor and UHS.
- Participates in concurrent and retrospective chart review relating to performance improvement initiatives.
- Works closely with the Quality/Risk Management programs to identify increased risk and/or problem prone patient care services.
- Monitors effectiveness of action plans through auditing, rounding, and analytic reports.
- Assists in staff development through trainings intended to improve patient safety initiatives.
- Communicates and enforces documentation requirements with all levels of staff to meet accreditation and certification body regulations.
- Assists in performing integrated review of processes addressing performance improvement monitoring and evaluation on an ongoing basis.
- Assists departments with creating, revising and maintaining facility policies and procedures as necessary.
- Assists departments with creating and revising facility forms as necessary.
- Serves as back-up to PI/RM Director in their absence to ensure necessary day-to-day operations are uninterrupted.
- Assists in other areas as necessary to ensure daily facility operations continue as required.
