Recruitment and Onboarding Specialist

Position Overview: As the Recruitment and Onboarding Specialist, you'll be at the forefront of our talent acquisition and onboarding efforts. Your main responsibility will be to ensure that new hires feel welcomed, supported, and equipped to excel in their roles. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with hiring managers to identify staffing needds and implement effective recruitment strategies. 

 

Key Job Duties:

  • Recruitment
    • Work closely with hiring managers to understand staffing requirements and devise targeted recruitment plans.
    • Utilize various channels, including job boards, social media, and professional networks, to source top-tier candidates.
    • Screen resumes, conduct interviews, and coordinate interview schedules with hiring teams.
    • Manage our applicant tracking system (ATS) to maintain accurate candidate records and streamline the recruitment process.
    • Extend job offers and assist in negotiation processes while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Onboarding
    • Lead the seamless onboarding process for new hires, from preparing paperwork to facilitating orientation sessions and training.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for new employees, providing guidance and support throughout their onboarding journey.
    • Ensure all necessary documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
    • Collaborate with departments to ensure new hires have access to essential resources and training opportunities.
    • Gather feedback from new hires to continuously enhance the onboarding experience and improve retention.
  • Candidate Experience
    • Deliver a positive and professional experience for candidates at every stage of the recruitment process.
    • Champion our employer brand and culture to prospective candidates, acting as a brand ambassador for the organization.
    • Maintain clear communication with candidates regarding their application status and next steps.
    • Solicit feedback from candidates to identify areas for improvement and enhance the overall candidate experience.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field, or combination of training and experience. 
  • 1-2 years of experience in an HR related role
  • Proven experience in recruitment and/or onboarding, preferrably in a fast past environment.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment best practices and employment laws
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a keen attention to detail 
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.
