Senior Accountant

A great UHY client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have strong GL experience, AP/AR experience, and project accounting experience.

The Senior Accountant role is an onsite position. This is a client direct hire position.

Senior Accountant Job Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in audits.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Support leadership with financial analysis and strategic planning.
• Collaborate with external auditors, tax consultants, and other stakeholders.

Senior Accountant Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification a plus.
• 5 years of experience in accounting / finance, with a focus on financial reporting and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software, QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• QuickBooks knowledge preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
