Note: Commercial (office, industrial, retail) experienced is highly preferred.
What you’ll do…
- Compile and analyze timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP and other accounting standards.
- Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports to summarize and interpret the company’s financial position.
- Develop annual budgets and monthly reforecasts for assigned properties.
- Analyze financial information to determine present and future financial performance.
- Generate annual work papers and support schedules for year-end tax returns, audits, and financial statements.
- Collaborate with Operations to prepare and maintain annual business plans, cash flow projections, and financial reports.
- Manage asset/portfolio capital reserves, assets, and expenditures by monitoring revenue, expenses, payables, receivables, and capital expenditures.
- Maintain various ad hoc financial models and analyses integral to asset/portfolio cash flow management, financing, operations, and investor relations.
- Prepare lease analysis including the calculation of lease termination payment along with calculating the financial impact of prospective new leases, renewals and expansions as it relates to the asset/portfolio.
Your qualifications…
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the real estate industry.
- Proficiency with real estate accounting software (MRI preferred).
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
- Ability to apply sound business judgment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while achieving team goals.
- Strong project management skills.
- Experience calculating and reporting on CAM
- Team player with a “can-do” attitude.
