Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Quality Control Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will focus on ensuring the quality of mechanical systems, piping, and equipment installations across construction projects. Under the policy direction from the Quality Manager and Project Management, this position is responsible for overseeing site quality activities, including inspection, record control, procedure compliance, non-conformance resolution, and monitoring contractors' quality activities.
Your duties will include:
- Conduct quality inspections of mechanical systems, including piping, HVAC, and equipment installations, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Review and verify mechanical quality documents, including ITPs, procedures, and records.
- Monitor subcontractors' mechanical quality teams and third-party inspectors to ensure proper execution of inspections and testing.
- Ensure timely submission and accurate review of mechanical quality documentation.
- Oversee personnel qualifications, inspection procedures, and testing equipment calibration related to mechanical systems.
- Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure proper adherence to mechanical quality standards and compliance.
- Support the development and implementation of mechanical quality management systems.
- Manage non-conformance reports, including identification, resolution, and prevention of recurring issues.
- Prepare and present regular progress and quality reports to stakeholders.
Your qualifications are as follows:
- Korean/English bilingual is a must (Native proficiency including writing and reading).
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 5–12 years of experience in mechanical quality control or related roles, particularly in construction or industrial projects.
- Knowledgeable in applicable code and standards such as ACI, IBC, etc.
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and Navisworks (or Revit).
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in team environment supporting overall project.
- Ability to multi-task and be highly organized.
- Consistently approaches work with a positive and constructive attitude.
- Good analytical skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Structured thinking and understanding.
