Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical QC Inspector who will be responsible for conducting mechanical inspections, coordinating inspection schedules, and providing general support for construction site operations. This role ensures compliance with quality standards while assisting in administrative and operational tasks to maintain efficient site management.
Your duties will include:
- Conduct mechanical inspections on piping, equipment installations, and structural components to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes (e.g., ASME, API), and industry standards.
- Perform visual inspections and non-destructive testing (NDT) such as ultrasonic, radiographic, and magnetic particle testing on welds and piping components. and records.
- Review and verify mechanical quality documents, including Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), procedures, and records.
- Prepare and maintain detailed inspection records, test results, and quality reports.
- Manage non-conformance report (NCRs), including identifying, resolving, and implementing preventive actions to avoid recurring issues.
- Collaborate with construction teams, contractors, and project engineers to address quality-related issues and resolve non-conformities.
- Coordinate and manage the schedules of Mechanical QC Inspectors, ensuring timely inspections and smooth project workflow.
- Assist in overseeing mechanical construction activities, supporting project execution, and ensuring compliance with project requirements.
- Liaise with subcontractors, vendors, and site teams to facilitate seamless communication and project progress.
- Support the Quality Control (QC) team by organizing documentation, tracking progress, and ensuring compliance with site protocols.
- Participate in construction site meetings, preparing reports and documenting discussions for internal teams.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and site policies, assisting in inspections when necessary.
Your qualifications are as follows:
- Korean bilingual is must.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineer, Construction Management or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in piping inspection or quality control, preferably in industrial or construction projects.
- Knowledgeable in applicable code and standards such as ACI, IBC, etc.
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and Navisworks (or Revit).
- Proficiency in interpreting piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), isometric.
- Knowledge of industry standards such as ASME, API, and ASTM codes.
- Strong organizational and scheduling skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of working with inspectors, subcontractors, and project managers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and project management tools.
- Understanding of mechanical construction processes is a plus.
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and support various site operations.
