Senior Video Communications Specialist
At UIC Alaska, we are seeking an exceptional Senior Video Communications Specialist to support our conference room system maintenance. This highly skilled professional will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of over 10 conference rooms.
About the Role:
- We are looking for a technical expert with extensive experience in providing engineering services, including developing procedures, checklists, and instructions for technology use.
- The ideal candidate will define system solutions based on user/client needs and required integration with existing applications, systems, or platforms.
- Responsibilities include researching, identifying, selecting, and testing technology products required for solution delivery.
- This role involves establishing, implementing, and documenting technology integration or migration strategies.
- We require a highly skilled professional to work on advanced, complex technical projects requiring state-of-the-art technical or industry knowledge.
- The selected candidate will provide off-site support when required, including conferences, meetings, or alternate sites where C4IM support is needed.
- This position entails providing single-user training while troubleshooting an end-user problem.
- The successful candidate will monitor network engineering performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
- System upgrades, including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations, are also part of this role.
- Liaising with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution is essential.
- This position involves overseeing the installation and maintenance of these systems, including their repair and testing.
- Providing support to virtual meetings, such as Teams meetings, Live Events, Zoom, or other application-based virtual meeting environments, is a key responsibility.
- Collaboration with NEC and IMOs for troubleshooting of any IT associated with meeting/collaboration support is also required.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related scientific or technical discipline.
- A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience. Four (4) additional years of direct relevant technical experience may be substituted for education.
Clearance and Benefits:
Must hold an active security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location. We offer a comprehensive benefits package.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time.
- Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically.
Salary Range:
$90,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
