Installs, maintains, and repairs building hardware, including but not limited to doors, windows, floors, walls, partitions, and ceilings in accordance with accepted procedures and techniques of the carpenter trade.
Duties & Responsibilities:
A Carpenters main responsibilities are to install, maintain, and repair doors, door hardware, windows, window hardware, floors, ceilings, partitions, office equipment/furniture, classroom fixtures/equipment, hospital fixtures/equipment, and athletic fixtures/equipment.
A Carpenter responds to departmental requests which include, but are not limited to securing office equipment, and installing shelves, chalkboards, signage and cabinetry.
A Carpenter is responsible for remodeling existing structures per departmental request. A Carpenter inspects the work site to determine materials, equipment, and fixtures as required by scope of work. They make plans, lay-out, assembles and installs materials, equipment and fixtures as required by scope of work.
Prepares written record of daily work activities. Performs related duties as assigned.
