Position Summary
This position provides high-level administrative support to the Senior Vice Provost for Academic Programs, Student Success and Effectiveness. Using discretion, initiative, and independent judgment, the Office Support Specialist assists with office activities; schedules and prioritizes work and available resources; responds to requests and inquiries from students, faculty, and administrators; performs and manages projects related to the office.
Duties & Responsibilities
Provides administrative support to the Senior Vice Provost.
Use discretion and independent judgment in management of the Senior Vice Provost’s calendar, including scheduling and coordinating meetings, appointments, and travel.
Review and prioritize incoming documents requiring Senior Vice Provost approval.
Draft and edit memoranda, campus announcements, agreements, policies, meeting agendas and other correspondence involving sensitive and confidential content.
Manage, organize, and arrange unit sponsored events including managing logistics, purchasing, staffing needs, etc
Receive and manage confidential and sensitive information and requests related to the office. Respond to, or escalate, as needed, inquiries from students, faculty, administrative staff, and general public, maintaining discretion and confidentiality in all communications.
Manage workflow and responsibilities of the direct reports to the Senior Vice Provost.
Participate in weekly strategy meetings.
