Position Summary
The University of Illinois Chicago seeks a Graduate Hourly – Graphic Designer in the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research (OVCR). This is a fully remote, full-time position during the summer with the possibility of transitioning to part-time during the academic year. This role will assist in web design, creation of web content and social media content.
Duties & Responsibilities
Design websites for units within OVCR using WordPress.
Update online content for the OVCR website using WordPress.
Design digital marketing materials for use on OVCR’s Twitter, Instagram and other social media channels.
Create, manipulate and manage digital assets (images and video) for optimal use in web design.
Design and update Tableau dashboards for internal and external use on the OVCR website.
Create and maintain design and content style guide; establish unified style and tone across OVCR units; and develop, maintain and support design templates (slide decks, flyers, spreadsheets, brochures, etc.)
Ensure that content and material comply with UIC brand identity and accessibility guidelines. Participate in special projects as assigned. Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
