Reporting to the Director of Administrative Operations, the Human Resources Associate performs all human resources functions for the Department of Family Medicine and the Midwest AIDS Training and Education Center.
Duties & Responsibilities:Responsible for all human resource (HR) transactions pertaining to departmental employees including, new hire, position creation and maintenance, employee job record changes, labor distributions and redistributions, historical job changes, reappointments, add job, separations, overcompensation, and other administrative transactions.
Assist Department Head, Administrator, or Search Committee with search and hiring process for all employee types from beginning to end. Including creating/maintaining job descriptions, application review, and orientation and onboarding.
Responsible for processing of faculty Promotion and Tenure applications for all ranks (Associate or Full Professor) and tracks (tenure, non-tenure, clinical, research or clinical discipline).
Manage benefit time (sick and vacation accruals and usage) for administrative staff, civil service staff, and faculty. Review/approve bi-weekly Civil Service web time reporting. Process employee leave.
Provide general HR guidance in matters pertaining to employment to departmental employees
Resolve payroll issues related to employee under/over payments and payouts in appropriate University systems.
Oversee reporting of Non-University Activities, Ethics Training, ANCRA, Preventing Discrimination and Sexual Violence Training, Security Awareness Training, and other University compliance programs, including file maintenance and oversight.
Provide vendor payments via P-card and T-card and reconcile transactions following OBFS policies and procedures and other related duties and special projects as assigned
Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
