Duties & Responsibilities
In this position, the incumbent will perform patient care on a full-time basis, no less than forty hours per week, to patients at the University of Illinois Hospital and Health Sciences System, and to a medically underserved and diverse patient population. This will include six half-day adult sleep medicine clinics and interpretation of sleep studies generated from the clinics. Additional clinical opportunities may be considered based on the candidate’s training and interest. The incumbent will assist the Department to teach, train, and advise medical students, residents, and fellows in the fields of Internal Medicine, Sleep Medicine, and Pulmonary & Critical Care. The candidate is expected to conduct medical science research in the fields of Internal Medicine, Sleep Medicine, or Pulmonary & Critical Care. The candidate will also assist with curriculum development, and perform university duties and administrative service as assigned. These areas are essential to any academic medicine program, and an integral part of medical student teaching and resident/fellow training. Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
