Position Summary
This position will lead efforts to recruit rural students through the development and implementation of integrated marketing and recruitment strategies necessary to meet the enrollment goals of the University of Illinois at Chicago. Represent the University's interests during high profile events and to a wide range of constituents (e.g., state legislators, community leaders and organizations, parents, and students), venues (e.g., college fairs and programs, local, state, and national conferences, and events).
Duties & Responsibilities
Act as the primary advisor to Rural Pharmacy (RPHARM) Education Program Director and other RFIT Administrators on program goals, policy development, implementation, and analysis.
Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external constituents (e.g., students, parents, high school counselors, teachers, and administrators, higher education institutions, pre-pharmacy/pre-health organizations.) to create a pipeline for rural student recruitment, to showcase pharmacy-related fields, provide pre-admission advice, and counsel relative to the recruitment and admissions processes.
Cultivate robust relationships with students, parents, high school counselors, teachers, and administrators through diverse communication avenues. Provide tailored admissions guidance and counsel concerning the RFIT Program.
Manage a comprehensive travel itinerary, promoting the RPHARM Program at multiple recruitment events, high school visits, and yield activities within the designated territory.
Conduct admissions and recruitment presentations as per program design, catering to varied audiences including prospective students, families, and school groups.
Facilitate and assist in organizing on-campus programs for prospective students. Deliver comprehensive information about available academic programs, encompassing student resources, scholarships, and facilities during these events.
Collaborate regularly with campus departments and external community entities to bolster the University's recruitment initiatives.
Assess the efficacy of recruitment strategies, providing recommendations for program improvements and modifications.
Compile, analyze, and interpret student data, event outcomes, and recruitment patterns. Regularly communicate findings to senior leadership. Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
