Release of Information Clerk will be assisting in various medical record functions that include but are not limited to the release of information, sorting, data entry, filing, and answering / directing phone calls.
Duties and Responsibilities : Fulfill all requests for records promptly and follow all State and Federal rules and regulations regarding the release of information. Answer phone calls in a timely and courteous manner. Greet patients and help them with any questions regarding their records.
Demonstrates Competency in the Following Areas :
Handles all communication (telephone, email, interpersonal) with patients and other departments.
Receives documents and responds to all patient correspondence promptly and courteously.
Provides exceptional customer service.
Ensures that services should be provided by state and federal regulations, organizational policy, and accreditation / compliance requirements
Ability to work both independently and within a team.
Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
