Summary:
The Campus Activities & Greek Life Coordinator strategically promotes initiatives, coordinates events, and manages digital presence to enhance student engagement and community involvement. The role celebrates campus traditions through support of Greek Life programs and events, and advisement of the Greek Affairs Board and the Student Activities Committee. This role collaborates with various stakeholders to plan and execute diverse programs, workshops, and events aimed at enhancing student growth and development.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Greek Life Program and Events: Plan and execute diverse Greek life programs and events, fostering a positive Greek experience. Assist in organizing community and chapter-specific events, including recruitment/intake, Greek Week, All Greek Awards, and meetings with students, advisors, and alumni. Aid in compiling and generating grade reports for UIS Greek chapters, as well as collecting rosters and reports from Greek chapters.
Advise Student Activities Committee: Educate, train, and provide direction to the Student Activities Committee (SAC) student programming board by overseeing the planning and implementation of student-initiated events while fostering leadership opportunities for student programmers. Support SAC in the planning and executing of traditions such as Springfest and Homecoming events, coordinating with campus stakeholders and student organizations. Participate and engage in National Association of Campus Activities programs and conferences, attending with SAC students as needed. Serve as fiscal officer and oversee budget planning and management for student activities and student organization events and operations.
Marketing and Website Management: Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote all Student Life Office programs and events. Maintain and update all Student Life Office webpages to enhance outreach and engagement with the student body. Coordinate social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) to enhance outreach and engagement with the student body.
Campus Wide Programs & Traditions: Attend and work collaboratively with Student Life team to carry out annual programs and initiatives such as, but not limited to, Fall Welcome, Spring Welcome and late-night programs. Assist in managing and documenting Student Life expenses for Welcome Week and traditional programs to ensure fiscal responsibility and compliance. Develop relationships and opportunities with campus departments as well as local and regional businesses and agencies to enhance student life on campus as well as in the community.
