Description
UKG is seeking a Solution Architect to lead the Architecture and drive the expansion of our next-generation enterprise solution.This position demands strong leadership with the ability to collaborate across the organization. You will be working with current and emerging technologies within hybrid cloud environments while guiding teams to delivery. The opportunity requires to be able to contribute at a senior level, to Architect, design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug complex platform, software, and data issues across the enterprise. The Solution Architect will be working directly with our Engineering team to implement the next generation of workforce management products. As an architect you will collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams while presenting to senior leadership, so effective communication skills are a necessity.
- Implement all aspects of our data product including artifact creation such as architecture and design diagrams, playbooks, and other technical documents
- Establish practices of assessing the architecture risks and enable the team to maintain the clear picture of architecture risks and concerns, as well as their mitigation plans
- Partner with various business stakeholders and technology leaders to translate program requirements into scalable technical solutions and system designs
- Collaborate with other members of the Product Architecture Leadership team and development management, to evaluate solutions and gain consensus on technical solutions
- Research, design, test, and evaluate new technologies, platforms, and third-party products
- Facilitate planning for production implementation of solutions
- Research, understand and socialize new technology trends and products
- Provide expertise in the development of standards, architectural governance, design patterns, and practices
Qualifications
- More than 5 years of experience leading the architecture of modern software applications within a public cloud environment, GCP preferred
- More than 5 years of experience building Rest based services and strong understanding of webservice architecture, challenges, and advantages
- More than 5 years of software development experience writing proficient code in Java
- More than 4 years of hands-on experience with streaming platforms, tools, and frameworks preferred
- More than 5 years of software development experience writing applications with low latency and high data usage environments
- Experience writing applications using SQL server, analyzing heap dumps, JVM thread dumps and performance monitoring tools preferred
