The ideal candidate will assist in food collection, preparation and ensure that the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. This role is essential for maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness while supporting our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring.
- Help cook during food preparation by providing necessary support and ensuring timely service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food is stored, handled, and prepared safely.
- Assist with inventory management by checking stock levels and notifying supervisors of shortages.
- Support catering events by preparing food items as directed by chef or kitchen manager.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and other cutting tools.
- Able to assist with menu creation.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of food safety practices and procedures.
