We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Summer Intern at UL Research Institutes and UL Standards & Engagement, based in our Evanston, Illinois office.
UL Research Institutes and UL Standards & Engagement is looking for a highly motivated and proactive individual to join our dynamic Finance team as a Finance Summer Intern. As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience and exposure to financial operations within a dynamic organization. This role is based in our headquarters in Evanston office and is a great opportunity for someone interested in pursuing a career in Finance.

What you'll learn and achieve :
As the Finance Summer Intern, you will play a key role in the rapid growth of UL as you :
- Analyze financial data, budget plans, and forecasting activities which provide insights to support decision-making processes.
- Participate in monthly close meetings to gain insights on variance analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Monitor capital and major project expenditures against planned budget.
- Assist in project-based procure to pay transaction updates, including supplier data updates and onboarding documents.
- Partake in supplier contract management review and document indexing.
- Assist in updating Finance SharePoint sites or financial data in spreadsheets.
- Support the collaboration with cross-functional teams to gather and interpret financial information and policies and procedures.
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
