THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE
The People Success Generalist supports Managers and induvial contributors in a specific business function by providing HR advice on performance management, talent planning, recruitment processes, culture and engagement, associate development, and recognition. The PS Generalist will be expected to understand HR policies and procedures so they can support associates and managers within a corporate business function. This is a collaborative role that works with other PS Generalists, PS Business Partners, and PS Centers of Excellence. The ideal candidate will have broad knowledge of human resources a well as general HR process and practices.
YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY:
- Work closely with the People Success Business Partner on strategic imperatives; talent strategy, learning and development offerings, DEI, ways to optimize performance, and build culture and engagement. Support People Success BPs on core program rollouts.
- Provide proactive direction and guidance to business unit managers on performance management, career development, counseling, and disciplinary actions.
- Customize and deliver specific HR initiatives such as annual performance review training, support of talent planning practices, culture action planning, and ad hoc projects to specific business units.
- Partners with People Success Centers of Excellence on HR driven projects and initiatives, acts as liaison for business unit associates and the People Success team
- Support functional areas of People Success including but not limited to compensation, benefits, HRIS, Associate Care & Support Center, communication, talent acquisition, associate relations, talent management, talent development training and special projects
- Guide and assist business managers with Culture Survey including facilitating results and action plan meetings.
- Support the DEI journey and on-going efforts to provide a work environment that encourages people to bring their authentic selves to work and builds an inclusive team.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify training needs, work with L&OD on training content, and facilitate training sessions as needed.
- Ensure exit interview survey information and in person exit interviews are completed.
- Participate in employee engagement efforts as assigned.
- Suggest new procedures and policies to continually improve efficiency of the People Success department and organization, and to improve associate experience
- Oversee/assist in the day-to-day delivery of People Success projects, programs, and strategies
- Perform a variety of professional and administrative human resources functions
THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS
- 3 years HR related work experience
- Understanding of HR concepts, policies and procedures. Able to troubleshoot issues or make decisions independently and drive them to closure with minimal supervision - and at the same time use good judgment on when to escalate issues.
- Proven experience in a role requiring a high degree of organizational skill and a strong sense of urgency; able to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy
- Flexible, able to deal with ambiguity and change direction quickly.
- Demonstrated experience working in a fast paced and changing environment
- Proficiency with MS Office products with an emphasis in Excel and Power Point
- Proven attention to detail, written and oral communication, multi-tasking, and working in a team atmosphere adhering to tight deadlines
- Experience reporting, analyzing, interpreting, and critical thinking
- Ability to communicate confidently with all levels of management
- Professional maturity to handle confidential information.
- Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
