The key to success in this role is a results driven, resilient, and experienced sales professional with knowledge of digital media. You have retail media experience at a retailer, agency or brand. You are relationship builder and can advise on digital marketing solutions for brand partners. You have the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. You are motivated to achieve revenue goals and work as a team player. You are passionate about creating positive relationships with brand & agency partners, your team and internal stakeholders while helping to create a positive consumer experience for our customers at Ulta Beauty. This position will report to the Director of Sales, UB Media.
This role is responsible for quota attainment and sales team efforts by evangelizing UB Media, cultivating relationships with merchants and brand partners, and providing tailored Retail Media solutions from across the product portfolio.
You will play an integral role in leading and driving revenue growth within a highly visible strategic growth initiative for the organization.
By taking a consultative approach, you will build strong relationships with decision-makers, understand their business challenges, and provide marketing solutions that will meet their needs. The Sr. Sales Executive will be responsible for the planning, execution and measurement of campaigns and own sales-related activity including presentations, RFP response, custom proposals, etc. with the main objective to maximize sales revenue while ensuring the utmost client satisfaction, building a portfolio of key accounts, and consistently hitting sales targets.

YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH THIS BY:
- Understanding the Retail Media landscape, the changing needs of the CPG community and the shifting consumer sentiment.
- Performing a mix of strategic sales planning including:
- Sales Materials - provide market feedback leading to regular updates of sales materials to incorporate category insights, case studies, ad solutions, key messages and unique buyer needs across all segments of clients.
- Brand Partner and Agency Relationship Development - develop relationships across brand partner shopper marketing and brand marketing teams, as well as with their agencies. This includes creating customized sales materials, leading education events, and building new business across all channels.
- Internal Stakeholder Education and Relationship Development – develop relationships with internal merchant and marketing teams. Educate on retail media and provide guidance on marketing support for their brands.
- Account Management Partnership – work closely with the Account Management team to collaborate on sales material, campaign execution, overall strategy, reporting, insights and brand relationships.
- Delivering on revenue targets by building relationships with brand partners and agencies to execute digital marketing campaigns.
- Actively forecast and manage an aggressive sales pipeline, providing regular financial updates and projections (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual) to management teams.
- Establishing & maintaining process to manage the sales cycle – including meetings, RFP review/response, Joint Business Plans through negotiations, close, up-sell and renew opportunities.
- Working collaboratively with cross functional teams (e.g. Merchandising, Marketing) to drive revenue growth with new and existing brand partners.
- Developing and delivering appropriate customer engagement, segmentation and retention strategies.
- Conveying UB Media’s value proposition and presenting solutions in a compelling, positive, and professional manner.
- Evangelizing UB Media with brand partners at events and industry conferences.
- Developing and managing key accounts and helping build a strong pipeline of demand for UB Media’s advertising solutions among both existing and new clients.
- Review results of campaigns to continuously look for opportunities to serve clients better.
- Actively listen to the needs of advertisers and communicate new ideas to continuously innovate and optimize UB Media’s offering.
THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:
- The ideal candidate is passionate about and has experience in one of the fastest growing sectors of digital media – Retail Media.
- You have an expert understanding of Retail Media with 5 years of digital sales experience and a minimum of 2 years of retail media sales experience.
- Extensive experience selling cross-channel online advertising incorporating programmatic, direct-to-publisher display/video, social, promoted listings/sponsored search advertising, as well as strong understanding of MarTech/AdTech platforms.
- Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships across all levels, including Senior Leadership.
- Ability to work closely with other functions including Merchandising and Marketing to support brand partners.
- Strong consultative sales skills, a collaborative and innovative spirit and comfortable navigating ambiguity.
- Solid track record achieving goals with outstanding execution, problem solving skills, resourcefulness, and creativity.
- Effective interpersonal communication skills, outgoing personality, and strong presentation skills.
- Proven sales, negotiation, client management, and time management skills.

The pay range for this position is $117,000.00 - $175,000.00 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company’s bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs.
