As the Senior Director, Social Center of Excellence, you will lead our social marketing strategy and creative operations to drive community engagement, growth and brand love across key platforms. Reporting to the SVP, Brand Marketing & Media, you will be responsible for developing and activating innovative social marketing strategies and maximizing business impact through the creation of audience-first content grounded in beauty enthusiast insights, influential creator marketing programs, and sales-driving campaigns to deliver business priorities and cultivate community vibrancy.
This role requires a forward thinker with deep expertise of the social marketing landscape, creator marketing, strategic planning and analysis, and full funnel integrated marketing planning with a love of staying on the pulse of trends and culture in beauty. This leader is a marketer who loves both the art and science and understands how to inspire and develop impactful creative work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is creative, yet data-driven, with a test and learn mentality and ability to translate business opportunities into actionable marketing strategies across social platforms.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and activate comprehensive social platform strategies with content that captures consumer attention to increase demand, SOV, shareability, and engagement, leveraging cultural insights, beauty trends, partnerships, and innovative creative approaches.
- Lead editorial calendar strategy to support business priorities, brand equity campaigns, tentpole campaigns, brand launches, events, and cultural moments.
- Guide influencer strategy and campaigns to identify new opportunities for content creation, meaningful consumer engagement, and earned media exposure to strengthen brand preference.
- Create measurement framework and monitor KPIs to evaluate effectiveness of marketing initiatives to track progress, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations for optimizations and inform future marketing strategies.
- Lead development of insight-driven creative with both internal social creative team and external agency partners.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Brand Strategy, Merchandising, Public Relations, Media, Loyalty, and eCommerce to ensure alignment and integration of social efforts with overall business strategies.
- Manage all aspects of agency and partner relationships to support strategic initiatives and drive business results.
- Ensure that project milestones/goals are met with efficient allocation of resources and adherence to approved budgets.
- Keep a pulse on beauty trends, culture, social marketing industry & measurement best practices, and competitive activity to drive market relevance and spark innovation.
- Lead and mentor social team by providing guidance, coaching, development opportunities and creative inspiration to optimize performance and foster a culture of growth and collaboration.
THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 12 years of experience in ascending marketing leadership roles with a deep passion for the beauty industry.
- 8 years of experience in social media strategy and content development.
- 5 years of management experience.
- Deep expertise in creator/influencer marketing partnerships and campaigns that effectively drove measurable results.
- Both a big picture strategic thinker, with the ability to translate quantitative and qualitative data/insights into marketing strategies, and a highly organized “doer,” with a bias towards action.
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Demonstrated creativity with a passion for innovation and experimentation.
- Successful track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams on strategy. development and execution with ability to lead through influence to gain buy-in from stakeholders.
- Embraces test and learn approach with a high-risk tolerance for deploying new ideas quickly and assessing market impact.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to develop compelling presentation decks
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- Experience managing agency relationships, media partnerships and budgets.
