Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Material Handler with experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to join our team in Scotts Valley, CA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the flow of materials within the organization, ensuring the timely delivery of goods to production lines and customers, and maintaining accurate inventory records. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials in accordance with company procedures and safety guidelines.
- Prepare and package materials for shipment to customers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Pick, pack, and stage materials for production orders, ensuring that the correct items and quantities are delivered to the appropriate locations.
- Perform inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and ERP system records.
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder materials as needed to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Coordinate with purchasing and production teams to prioritize material requirements and expedite deliveries as necessary.
- Utilize ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) to track material movements, update inventory records, and generate reports.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, adhering to safety standards and best practices.
- Assist with other duties as assigned, including cycle counting, kitting, and assisting with physical inventory audits.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in supply chain management or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a material handler or similar role in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, including experience with inventory management modules and basic transactional processes.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack) safely.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to material handling and warehouse operations.
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed to support production schedules and deadlines.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and adaptability to changing priorities and demands.
